She was previously a Spanish and French Lecturer and Course Manager at the University of Luton, a Senior Lecturer at the University of Westminster, a Consultant Linguist and Trainer, and a Custody Officer at Serco. Cives-Enriquez has an MA in Applied Language Studies from Salford University, and has published a number of books about tailormade courses on Spanish and intercultural training for corporate clients. While working at the University of Luton, she prepared students for the Institute's ELIC diploma, and was also a Senior Examiner and Assessor. A Chartered Linguist listed under both Education and Business, Professions and Government, she has been a CIOL Member since 1999, and joined the CL Admissions Advisory Panel in January. Lau Kwok Kuen Lau Kwok Kuen FCIL is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Applied English Studies at the University of Hong Kong, and was previously a Language Instructor in Hong Kong. He presents papers at local and international conferences, and has published a monograph and 10 research articles/ reviews. He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, and sits on several academic committees, chairing most of them. Dr Lau became a member of the Institute in 2004 and successfully applied for Chartered Linguist status in Education in 2012. Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an important part of his working life. He attends a number of seminars each year, including events organised by the CIOL Hong Kong Society. He has a BA (Hons) in Translation and Chinese (Hong Kong Polytechnic University), an MA in Research in Applied Linguistics, and a PhD in Applied Linguistics (both Lancaster University). Emilia Di Martino Emilia Di Martino FCIL is a Tenured Researcher and Lecturer in English Language and Translation at the Università Suor Orsola Benincasa, and was recently awarded habilitation for the position of Associate Professor. She has published numerous articles and publications, sits on the Advisory Panel for the New Voices in Translation Studies journal and the Translation and Interpreting journal, and has presented at many local and international conferences. Di Martino was a state-enrolled teacher of English and French Language and Culture, as well as a Foreign Language Teacher Trainer. She has an MA in Foreign Languages and Cultures, an MA in Education, and a PhD in English for Special Purposes. She is a member of a number of professional bodies, including the European Society for Translation Studies, Associazione Italiana di Anglistica, International Society for the Linguistics of English, International Association for Translation and Intercultural Studies, and Società Italiana di didattica delle Lingue e Linguistica.
